Faculty Spotlight~ Mr. Tambi Mutharika

Mr. Tambi Mutharika was born in Zimbabwe, Africa. His father is from Malawi, and his mom is from America. He is one of AST's basketball coaches, a PE teacher and also a professional DJ! He has been in Taiwan for nearly 20 years! He loves basketball, and coaching is a big part of his life. His dream is to become a professional coach. Mr. Tambi, or Coach T believes that AST is improving at sports and school spirit is growing. More people are starting to take part in extracurricular activities, and this will help elevate AST sporting programs. A few of his favorite hobbies are watching/playing basketball, soccer, video games, or baking. He also has a deep love for music!
